Josee's Photo Gallery
Welcome to my photo gallery. I have been an avid amateur photographer since the first time I was given an old Kodak point and shoot camera as a young adult. It wasn't until I returned to my home state of New Jersey that I began to really enjoy photography and took a series of classes at our local, Warren County Community College back in 2000-2001. I had recently purchased a Canon A1 film camera to concentrate on wildlife and nature photography and wanted to learn how to really capture nature at its best. After completing the certificate course in basic photography and photo journalism, I started to explore the latest in digital technology and put my A1 away to start shooting digitally. This opened up a whole new world of photo enhancement and with the advent of online photo galleries, came ease in sharing of my work on the internet. On occasion I still break out the old A1, but I must admit, it is for the most part retired.
I am currently use a Canon Rebel T2i digital SLR for nature and wildlife photography, and have over the years used a Olympus Camedia C 765 and more recently an Olympus Stylus 7010 to capture most of my spur of the moment and family and fun shots. I carry the Stylus with me most of the time but love the features and higher resolutions on the T2i. For birding, speed and distance are key to capturing great shots and I use a 75-300mm zoom lense when out in nature.
As you may have guessed from my already exhibited albums, I have a great love of mountains, oceans and nature and when they all come together, I am on top of the world. I am fast joining the ranks of those who enjoy photographing birds and finding it quite a feat to capture a great bird shot. Since birds are usually either too far away or swift to get a clean shot, it is a challenge and makes for interesting subject matter.
I hope you enjoy your journeys through the eyes of this photographer and as always, I welcome your comments and feedback.
